Together We Can Drive Change

Every year, Q-Line Trucking works closely with a local charity to provide support and to gain awareness for a special cause. Over the years, Saskatoon has grown and so have the challenges of those facing issues related to mental health, addiction, and poverty. Without adequate housing or incomes, many people face homelessness as well as hunger. In December of 2013, The Saskatoon Friendship Inn launched their Fill the Plate Campaign which generates revenue to help feed Saskatoon’s inner city.

For the third year, Q-Line Trucking and their staff are committed to raise donations in support of the Saskatoon Friendship Inn and hope to add to the over $32,000 raised in previous years.

Saskatoon Friendship Inn

“As an organization, Saskatoon Friendship Inn is responsive, compassionate, and fosters a sense of belonging. It relies on community wide partnerships and support in fulfilling its commitment to regular meal service and friendship.

Within the resources available to it, Saskatoon Friendship Inn is also committed to individual and group services and programs for children, youth and adults who experience poverty in order to help them help themselves and each other. We believe in community development, public education, and advocacy to encourage compassionate solutions to poverty in our city.”1

The Saskatoon Friendship Inn serves approximately 700-900 meals every day, 365 days per year. As a non-profit organization, they rely heavily on donations and volunteers to supply the services needed. For as little as $5 a day, you can feed someone for a day.

Also operating as a community center, they offer a variety of programs free of cost, such as:

  • Alcoholics Anonymous
  • Parenting Classes
  • Anger Management Classes
  • Flu Clinics & HIV Nurses
  • Tutoring Services
  • Art & Leisure Activities
